Hello! I am so excited to start this blog and share with you things I love and find helpful! I love to write, but I am actually an engineer by trade on maternity leave for one year. When I am not at work, I enjoy being creative and imaginative. I have always loved decorating, organizing, and entertaining, but I have a new found love of all things baby since having my first child in 2016.
I have learned so much about myself and how to provide for a little one over the past six months, and I thought it would be fun to start a blog to showcase these learnings. I am in no way a professional. I am just a regular new mom who is trying her best at parenting. Several things bring the most cheer to my life: my family, my home, entertaining and providing for others. I want to show you thoughts and learnings in each of these areas so that you may find ways to make your life more cheerful. I am a fairly straightforward person, so I will happily give you my honest opinions and tips concerning these topics. 🙂
I am married to my college sweetheart, Bradley, and am a proud pet parent to our dog, Lucy. I have been described as being very outgoing, but I am also a homebody. I love having a clean and well organized home, especially now, since I spend so much time there. I used to be on the go constantly, but as I get older, I have realized how important it is to slow down and enjoy things. If we are constantly moving 100 mph and don’t take time to reflect, then our lives will just zip by. I have found this to be particularly true since the birth of my daughter, Madeline. I am constantly taking pictures of her and attempting to document all of the cute things she does. I feel like the first six months of her life have passed by in a flash, so i really want to embrace the second half of my maternity leave and spend a ton of quality time with her.
I hope you find this blog helpful and and fun to read. Please let me know if there is anything specific you would like to see featured in future posts! I am new to all of this, and I want to make this as fun and enjoyable as possible. Have a great day!!
