Madeline’s Favorite Books For Valentine’s Day

I don’t know how many of you know this, but my daughter LOVES a book.  When I was out on maternity leave for a year, I used to entertain people on Facebook by posting pictures and videos of Madeline taking every book out of her basket and then IMMEDIATELY restocking them.  It was honestly a daily occurrence, and it was so funny to me!

Now that she is a little bit older, she doesn’t stack them, but she does love reading them!  One of her favorite activities is to take out a few books, pop down in your lap, and then have you read them to her.  She also LOVES to have them read to her every evening, right before bedtime.  We prop ourselves in her chair with a nice little blanket and end our day with story time.  In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, here are Miss Madeline’s current favorites that talk about love.  🙂

Love Is You & Me by Monica Sheehan (MY FAVORITE!!!).  This book is the sweetest thing ever, and it is definitely my personal favorite!  I would highly recommend you adding this to your collection!

I am so happy that Madeline shares my love of reading, and I hope that this remains true for a long time.  No matter how hard my day at work has been, nothing tops a little snuggle time and a good book with my mini-me.  I strongly recommend that you make this a nightly tradition in your own home.  It is a very peaceful way to end your evening, and it is always fun to share a good book with someone you love.  HAPPY READING!
